Private Collection

From our 130 year old studio, teaching museum and tea culture center in Princeton, New Jersey, we are pleased to welcome guests by appointment.

Our Mingei Japanese folk culture collection, assembled over 50 plus years on Honshu Island, has offered us enormous pleasure. Many pieces have been shared for exhibitions as well as "hands on" education.

Although we plan to keep a representative core of objects in our studio for future bequeathal to a museum of our choice, we are now prepared to de-acquisition some of our "treasures".

For the discerning collector, we can offer: unique folk art, Tansu storage chests, architectural objects, cotton fabrics, farm implements, one of a kind small boxes, tables, tools, basketry, daily use ceramics, lacquer ware, traditional "toys".
